WELCOME TO THE #BLACKWOMENRUN DATABASE

Black women are leading the charge for change in 2024—on every ballot, in every community.

The 2024 #BlackWomenRun Database, a comprehensive and searchable resource featuring more than 600 Black women candidates running for office at the local, state, and federal levels in the 2024 election.

This year’s election carries historic significance, with multiple Black women poised to make history on the ballot. For the first time, Black women are running for U.S. Senate seats in Delaware, Maryland, and Indiana—states that could see groundbreaking victories. In addition, Vice President Kamala Harris is making her bid for the presidency, further underscoring the impact Black women are having at the highest levels of government.

The 2024 #BlackWomenRun Database highlights Black women candidates and raises voter awareness, empowering communities to make informed decisions at the polls. The database allows voters to filter candidates by state, party affiliation, and primary outcomes, making it easy to view candidates running in the general election.

As part of Higher Heights' ongoing mission to support Black women in leadership, the 2024 #BlackWomenRun Databases is a tool that amplifies the voices of Black women candidates who are stepping up to serve and provides a unique space where their political platforms and potential can be fully showcased. When Black women lead, they deliver for their communities, and we are excited to witness their continued impact.
